Strip For Me

A blog to help the busy on-the-go cosmopolitan type keep track of the many changes going on over at the Strip For Me site by Douglas Noble. What a great comic site that is, eh?

Of course, I am late this week.

Double update this weekend, my lovely people - promise.

Not late enough to hurt your feelings.

Hopefully, anyway. This week sees the promised update only arriving late in the evening, not in the week, which can't be bad. Three new pages for you all today, as borders, 20 Questions and Showdown continue their relentless march forward.
Of course, I might be late next week too, who can tell?

"...should be there for bungling, at which you are best."

So it's not the sixteenth, I suppose that you noticed that? This promised update is late for its own sake, I'm afraid, and the lengthy but quite dull story of why that is so shall not bore your eyes, dear readers, I owe you that much. Not that I have too much to update you all on of course, but I did want to quickly mention some of the comics people who made the Expo weekend so enjoyable for me.
First of all, as ever, the inestimable misters Goodbrey, Fryer and Baillie were all out in full effect, keeping me laughing well past normal folkses bedtime. Mentions too should be made of the brothers Goodman, the Rubins sisters and the single entities Daniel Hartwell and John Aggs. The illness-prone Shane Chebsy was there too, as expected, and that giant among publishers Chris Staros (when are we getting another Staros Report, Chris?). Added to this was the usual mix of friends, acquaintances and semi-dazzling stars that make up the bulk of any show. A special recommendation should be made for the third issue of Commercial Suicide edited by Alex de Campi and Kieron Gillen - the best by far so far and spectacular in its joyful wrong. Essential.
Also, this weekend's update may be a little late, maybe. We'll see. I hope not.

Back and broken...

Just back from the Bristol Comics Expo in order to get this update out to you, my adoring public. So quickly make your way to see the new episodes of borders and 20 Questions, plus the new sketches. After you've done that you should do it all over again.
I'll try and get my thoughts on the Expo together enough to provide a decent report tomorrow, in the meantime I have a huge pile of comics to read and some rest to get. If we spoke it was great meeting you, and if not then I'm sorry I missed you. Links and things to be found in the report. You've got to wait for something!

Off to Brizzel

So, the morning will see me travelling down to Bristol for this year's Comic Expo. Hopefully I'll do some more comic-ing than last time, which was mainly bar, bar, bar. Looking forward to it, with a little trepidation. I'll be there with a fistful of issues in hand, so do say heloo.

Did manage to finish the long delayed SFM NYC this week, plus already have this weekend's update partly completed. I have to, otherwise I'll be getting back with nothing for you folks. Look forward to - oh, another borders, another Twenty Questions, and maybe an episode of Showdown.

It's been an interesting week for the site, oddly enough. I had a flurry of activity thanks to a couple of new links. It's always nice to see new faces, so do click on the link to the right and say hello.

Sleep awaits me.

The Love Unlimited Orchestra

New update is up, as ever just scraping into the space marked Sunday that I promise that there'll be new stuff. No borders this week, for the first time this year, but new sketches, and a nice Showdown page too. There's also the first page of yet another new series, this one is called Twenty Questions, and is less dramatically ambitious than others. Only twenty pages this time.

Anyway - click on the link to the right to go to the site and enjoy the wonders on the new pages!

"A day late and a dollar short..."

So did you miss me? I'm back from my world travels to bring you another fine update in the SFM style that you've grown used to. Not one or two new strips this week, but three (count 'em if you don't believe me). First up we have borders, which reaches it's thirtieth installment for your delectation, the second Showdown, and a brand new one page subject called Heartbreak Just Gets Better. All are stamped with the SFM seal of top quality, and that's a seal that you can trust.
And while you're here you can put an answer into the poll up top. It is you I'm doing it for, after all.
